In Module One we talked about awareness, now we’re shifting gears to think about how to react in specific situations where there is a known threat. It starts with an assessment of your aggressor which may include:
- Aggressor is known or unknown
- Physicality of the aggressor
- Intent of the aggressor
- Obvious drug or alcohol impairment
- Mental health concern

You’re in a popular travel destination and there are lots of street people asking for money, giving away cards to night clubs or asking if you would like to purchase “something” a little extra. Then standing close to you there is someone who was clearly intoxicated, loud and belligerent. Know your next move by assessing if this is a threat to you or someone close to you and create space to keep safe.
