Physical Positioning: Your Body Copy

When responding to an aggressor, here are some physical positioning you should adopt: 

  • Stability stance – one foot forward and one back
  • Stance angle should face potential harm
  • Use “hands open & up” Response position – hands in front of your body in a non-aggressive manor
  • Be able to move in all directions by sliding feet forward, backward, left and right without lifting your feet
  • Eyes forward and scanning left to right
