Supplimentary Material: Protecting Children Copy

The threat may not always be directed at you.  If you have a loved one that you are responsible for consider these tips:

  • If you are alone with kids, keep them in front of you where you can see them and any potential approaching threats.
  • If a threat approaches grab onto their clothing and hold them your side so that you can focus on the threat in front of you and at the same time know your child is beside you and has not run off somewhere
  • If you are with another adult, position one adult at the front and one behind in a diagonal line. This will create a line of vision from all angles and a better protection “bubble”.
